Internships 2004 Conservation Intern, Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas, TX This was a six-month internship in which I worked closely with the objects conservator to maintain and repair sculptures including, but not limited to, the Patsy and Raymond Nasher collection. Teaching Assistantships and Fellowships 1999-2002 Teaching Assistantship in Drawing I & II, University of North Texas. As a Teaching Assistant in Drawing I & II I met with the drawing core supervisor once a week and was solely responsible for teaching the drawing laboratories. Description of Courses Instructed Art Appreciation: Art Appreciation students are taught the elements and principles of design, media and processes of art, and a brief survey of art history through lecture, PowerPoint presentations, video, and fieldtrips. Drawing I: Drawing students are introduced to the basic elements of drawing. Assignments include media experimentation, gesture, contour line, value, mass/volume, perspective, and foreshortening. Drawing II In Drawing II the basic concepts of Drawing I are reinforced through more advanced assignments. The students are introduced to color and complete a series of six drawings in which they develop a personal style. Ceramics I Ceramics I students are taught handbuilding techniques with a brief introduction to the wheel. Ceramics II Ceramics II students work almost exclusively on the wheel and are introduced to glaze chemistry. Ceramics Portfolio Portfolio students work with me on a contract basis. They are required to keep a sketchbook and participate in critiques throughout the semester.
